RENITE ®- PRODUCT
DEVELOPMENT
Renite Company services the hot forming glass industry and the hot working metals
industry. Renite develops high-temperature lubricants for mold- and die-release
applications, and for a variety of niche applications in these industries.
Renite carefully measures and finely blends select ingredients to form stable
and highly uniform lubricant mixtures. One key ingredient for high- temperature
lubrication is graphite. Graphite, unlike most oil-based lubrication additives,
survives at the very high temperatures involved in hot forming glass and hot
working metals applications. Graphite is a classic solid lubricant, with the
parallel sheets of carbon easily sliding relative to each other within each
graphite particle. Another advantage to high quality graphite, unlike other
solid lubricants, is that it is available at an affordable price, allowing
Renite to hold lubricant prices to very competitive levels.
Renite lubricants also typically contain a liquid, usually either water or
petroleum oil, which primarily acts as a carrier, helping to uniformly apply
the graphite, and which then quickly vaporizes or burns away.
Through the years, Renite Company has engaged in product research and development,
and continues to do so. Sales and technical staff listen to customers' comments on
lubrication and consider their needs. Renite tests new product development in the
lab, but more importantly has sent samples for customers to conduct in-plant
testing. Product formulas have been adjusted to meet customer demands. Renite
continues to provide no-charge samples to these industries, so that individual
customers may evaluate how Renite products suit their specific requirements.
Product research involves many facets, including the above-mentioned consultation
and testing. Product research also includes continual searches through trade journals
and suppliers' technical literature. Also involved is consultation with suppliers'
representatives and technical staff.
In addition, Renite maintains a complete line of spray equipment for the application
of our lubricants. Renite can also design new spray equipment to meet specific
customer needs. For example, Renite can develop special configurations and spray
patterns to meet customer requirement.
